Guardians Of The Galaxy Gets Its Drax - Dave Bautista Has Signed On To Be The Destroyer

After some back-and-forth negotiations with at least a couple of actors, The Hollywood Reporter are saying that Marvel Studios have signed on Dave Bautista to play Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Bautista is a sometime WWE wrestler and mixed martial artist and stands at around six and a half feet tall. He might look the part, but I’ve yet to see any evidence that he can act particularly well. I hope James Gunn has the right stuff to get him on track.

Bautista is the second known piece of casting for the film, after Chris Pratt as Peter Quill – though neither has been officially announced by Marvel as yet. Big Wondercon announcement, maybe?
