After Bridesmaids gave her some movie star clout, Kristen Wiig put that power into getting this long-bubbling project into production. This is Girl Most Likely, which was shot under the name Imogene, and it’s the latest film directed by American Splendor‘s Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini.

That trailer was doing the rounds of various Darren Criss fan Tumblrs but it proved hard to find a working copy. Shame, because I think that looks appealing enough and, really, this film has been off chart enough that it could really use some buzz. It looks idiosyncratic enough that it might be a hard sell, but I’m certainly looking forward to it – the talent’s all in place, in any case.
