Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Adds Another Lead, Reteaming Matt Reeves And Kodi Smit-McPhee

The young star of Let Me In will be reunited with director Matt Reeves on the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Deadline report that Kodi Smit-McPhee has a lead role in the film… and that’s it. No more details.

He’s joining Jason Clarke and Andy Serkis in the cast – presumably as a human. But we do think that some more character-focused, actor-driven simians are likely on the cards too.

Rise really only had Caesar as a front-line, star “ape” but Dawn has more – and we believe that they’ll be talking parts too.

Well, to a point.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is due in US cinemas next May.
