Miranda Hart's 12 In A Box Has Hardly Any Miranda Hart In It

In 2006, a British movie called 12 In A Box was filmed. It had a few minor TV actors in it. It managed to play a few festivals, had a very limited US release and even won some awards from Americans, possibly on account of it being British.

Now, in 2013, it is getting a cinematic release in the UK. For a few days at the end of March. Then getting a DVD release.

In the interim, Miranda Hart turned from a minor comedy actress appearing in shows like Smack The Pony, French And Saunders and Nighty Night into a national treasure with her own titular TV sitcom and a lead role in Call The Midwife.

Which means, despite having about five minutes screentime in the film, the PR tells us that the film is

 STARRING MIRANDA HART

WITH

KATY WIX, ED BENNETT, KENNETH COLLARD, DAVID BURROWS-SUTCLIFFE

If I was any of the other mentioned I'd be a bit annoyed. Though they may prefer that their role in this film be played down.

Oh and the trailer basically has Miranda Hart's entire screen appearance in it.

This is what the trailer looked like six years ago. Her role is still over exaggerated…

It's a bad, unfunny, predictable film. It really is. But anyone going, sold on Miranda's apearance is going to be even more disappointed.
