Leonardo Di Caprio To Take The Road Home With Crazy Heart’s Scott Cooper

We’re still waiting for Scott Cooper‘s second feature, Out of the Furnace, but the residual glow of his Jeff Bridges country music drama Crazy Heart hasn’t burnt out entirely.

He’s now made a deal to adapt the upcoming novel The Road Home for Warner Bros.

Deadline say that the film is intended as a vehicle for Leonardo DiCaprio. He would play:

a war-scarred rancher on the Central California coast who finds himself entangled in scandal when he is asked to investigate the brutal murder of a local man, a case that local police have swept under the rug.

Interestingly, Out of the Furnace was an old Leo project that once had Ridley Scott attached to direct. Small world.
