The spark that ignited Orphan Black might have led John Fawcett and Graeme Manson to a ghost story or a time travel story, but it didn’t. This quick promo for the show will remind you where they’re going instead.

Canada didn’t stop making great genre stuff when Cronenberg hopped out. Fawcett was the director of Ginger Snaps and Manson was a writer on Cube, and while Orphan Black has a BBC America label on the tin, it looks to me like a Canadian show in pretty much every way – cast, crew, shooting locations.
