Full Trailer For Takashi Miike’s Police Thriller, Wara No Tate

Okay, I’ve called it a police thriller in the headline, but it isn’t, not entirely. One of the main characters is a killer in hiding after a very large bounty is put on his head. Two others are cops, sure, and as the story goes on, they’re ripped apart over the ethics of intervening in the public’s attempts to kill the killer and claim their reward.

I’m not sure of all of the details but it looks… well, it doesn’t look as good as the best of recent Miike, but it is just a trailer. I look forward to checking it out in any case.

There’s also a viral site that seems to be playing along with the bounty plotline. Perhaps. I don’t speak Japanese, I’m just guessing.
