Teasing Peek At Spider-Man’s New Peepers

Marc Webb‘s day by day drip-drip-drip of twitpics and teases from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has turned to video for the first time. He posted a clip then shared the link on Twitter with the hashtag #thebettertoseeyouwith.

Here’s the screengrab of the tiny flash of content in the hussly, bustly, white-noisy clip.

Now, how is this interesting? Well, maybe it isn’t, seeing as we already knew it was coming, but if it is, it’s because these are changes to Spider-Man’s costume made by Peter Parker. He’s developing the suit, improving upon it, evolving it.

And that’s the key idea – he’s evolving it. This new Spider-Man isn’t about changes happening because of nature, it’s about changes happening because of meddling with nature.

That’s true of the new origin, of the numerous new villains, and of the new costume.

Yeah, I did say if it was interesting.
