It’s Miss Piggy Getting Married In The Muppets… Again

There’s a piece about The Muppets by me in issue 2 of Bleeding Cool Magazine. If you have a copy, go dig it out. You’ll see this paragraph:

There are two other new human leads, one male and one female, and rumours say we can expect a wedding. You can bank on this, though: misunderstandings and farce will ensue.

I’m afraid to say, I knew more than I was letting on.

Last night, BBC Radio 4 broadcast a post-BAFTA special and spoke to some of the winners. Amongst them was Eve Stewart, who won the Best Production Design award for Les Miserables, and she said:

Really the antithesis of Les Miserables, I’m now at Pinewood doing The Muppet Show. And today has been one of the best days of my life, designing Miss Piggy’s wedding at the Tower of London. Get me… I’ve never been so happy.

I was going to keep this quiet, but it’s out doing the rounds now.

So who is Piggy marrying? Well, I’m not going to say… work it out for yourself. Maybe I’ll hide a clue in a future issue of Bleeding Cool magazine. Or maybe a mole amongst the Muppets will give it away…
