From Kieron Gillen, talking about his new Tony Stark “Secret Origin”

“This is big. By issue #10, Tony’s conception of everything will have changed. That was me kind of foreshadowing this story. I see what Dan Slott’s been up to these past few months, and I said, ‘I want a piece of that.’ This will be interesting in terms of response. It’s not going to be minor”.

Gillen also gave an indication the other day that this was what he expected for Young Avengers in the year ahead, citing those who can’t forgive him for what he did to Loki at the end of his Journey Into Mystery run.

But Amazing Spider-Man #700 was the best seller of the month by far. Superior Spider-Man #1 as well, with #2 in the top ten. The lesson being learned? People love to hate. To post “feels” to Tumblr. To tweet their rage, but only because they care so much. And buy the comic…

And nothing else, these “rage comics” are often better drawn than the ones on Reddit. Ish.
