First Clip And More For Pixar’s Monsters University

Included on the new Monsters Inc. Blu-ray is a video preview of this summer’s upcoming prequel. Director Dan Scanlon hosts, giving a plot overview and introducing concept art and, ultimately, an actual clip.

Archie the scare pig disturbs me but everything else looks tremendous.

Note how that clip riffs on a similar idea to the opening of the first film, with things being a lot scarier in the dark, then a lot more banal and – frankly – nerdy in the light.

I missed Mike and Sully. It’s good to have them back.
