First Trailer For Tyler Shields’ Final Girl With Abigail Breslin Is Staggeringly Pretentious

Tyler Shields seems to be quite a funny chap but I don’t think he’ll ever quite realise how. Here’s the first, comically self-regarding trailer for his debut film Final Girl.

“The problem with a movie trailer is you never know what to show,” he says, in his first ever movie trailer. Which begins with him, addressing us directly, dropping his name – in case we’ll miss it later when it gets a title card all to itself.

That whole trailer was quite tragically pathetic.

I don’t know who Shields is but I’ve been able to research what the hype machine says he is. There’s clearly a gulf between his output and the legend that’s been built up. This is pure ‘cult of celebrity’ bunkum.

Still, despite all signs, I hope the actual film is good.
