First Image And Voice Cast For The Shadow King

As sales company K5 prepare to take Henry Selick’s frozen-in-carbonite stop motion movie The Shadow King to the European Film Market, they’ve started listing it on their official site.

Here’s a blow-up of the graphic they’re using. Here’s a good quality version of the image with thanks to Seppe.

Lots of people referring to this on social media as a collage. To me, it’s pretty clear that it’s all one image. They’re in a low-lit room, the chap in the hat is creating shadows on a sheet. It’s pretty straight forward… I think.

Now. K5 also list a voice cast for the film:

  • Jaden Betts as Hap
  • Pamela Adlon as Richard
  • Brendan Gleeson as Darce
  • Jeffrey Tambor as Cuzzie Bell
  • Catherine O’Hara as Miss Fern

And which of those are in the image above? I’d guess Hap and Richard and either Darce or Bell. Probably Bell, I’d guess as there needs to be a villain and that Darce sounds more like a villain’s name to me.

But I’m just guessing. Hopefully K5 will work wonders, get backers at the EFM and one day soon, I won’t have to guess about what I never got to see.
