Kirkman, Staples And Guillory Sketch Scammers Caught On Camera

These two individuals have been trying to scam fake sketched and signed items with fake COAs all over the place. Faked work by Rob Guillory, Robert Kirkman and Fiona Staples, on eBay, on CraigsList and now in person, store to store. These shots were taken in Wonderworld Comics, Taylor, Michigan.

In many case they don’t try and get money, just high end trade items that they can then sell on. Or, embellish further. Such as this Craiglist listing in the Detroit area or this eBay account selling signed work by Fiona Staples., or these now-deleted Craigslist listings for those Kirkman sketches.

Alpha Comics did have a Fiona Staples signing but they never issued Certificates of Authenticity.

A number of stores have been scammed in Michigan but they are pooling their knowledge and resources and working with the police to track the culprits.

They seem to specialise in trading for Peter Panzerfaust, Chew, Walking Dead, Hawkeye, Saga and Thief of Thieves, as well as Silver Age Spider-Man.
