Matthew Modine’s Full Metal Jacket Diary App Is Available Now

Back in May 2011 I wrote about the Kickstarter campaign set up to fund Matthew Modine’s Full Metal Jacket Diary app. It’s been finished and available since last August but nobody thought to tell me until now. At least Indiewire finally flagged it up.

Back in ’11 I said that the app would:

combine the diary entries and photographs that Matthew Modine made during his time filming Stanley Kubrick‘s Full Metal Jacket. Much of this material was previously published as a hardback book but that’s rare as hen’s teeth now, and the app will also feature Modine reading his diaries as well as the text.

This trailer will show you the app in action.

All for £6.99 – I don’t know what the dollar price is, I’m afraid, but it’s likely more than worth it.
