The UK are getting this shorter, tighter trailer for The Incredible Burrt Wonderstone.
My tastes in Jim Carrey err away from his goofy rubber-band man stuff, but I’ll admit he’s good at it. Steve Carell, however, I just tend to get on well with under any circumstances. And I don’t remember a time I ever saw Steve Buscemi and wasn’t pleased about it.
So the key cast of The Incredible Burt Wunderstone are a pretty big draw, I think. Alan Arkin‘s in there too and Olivia Wilde doesn’t hurt – this is one of those times I’m drawn to a movie by the marquee names.
The fact that I’ve been in love with stage magic since before I can remember probably didn’t hurt either. My lack of patience for David Blaine‘s “endurance” charades works as a cherry on top.
In short, I don’t know if this looks like a good movie or not. I’ve been blinded.
Previously: not a UK trailer for this US film, but a UK film with a spin on some of the same ideas. Mitchell and Webb in Magicians.
