Tina Fey Negotiating To Star In The Next Muppets Movie

The somewhat unexpected role of a Russian gulag prison guard could be Tina Fey‘s if her negotiations to join The Muppets‘ sequel go to plan.

They tell us that she’s all but signed up, though Heat Vision don’t have any more details of the character. I do understand she’s on the side of the goodies.

Ty Burrell will be playing a baddie – an Interpol agent – while Ricky Gervais’ character is apparently a bit more morally ambiguous.

Fey and Gervais appeared together in The Invention of Lying, while Kermit has been on 30 Rock and Gervais has been in Sesame Street – as well as in a deleted scene from the last Muppet movie too. Basically, they’re all old friends, and so there should be some real chemistry.

Filming on the picture starts in London this month. To London!
