Star Trek Into Darkness Blurb Is Tweaked To Reveal Cumberbatch’s Villain Isn’t Acting Alone

There have been a few changes made to the body of Paramount’s official plot blurb for Star Trek Into Darkness.

Here’s the old one.

In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness.

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

And now the new middle bit, courtesy of Trek Movie.

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth.

In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

There are two changes that seem meaningful, one perhaps moreso than the other.

First, there’s the comment that Kirk is operating in defiance of regulations. Of course, he’s Kirk so this woud more or less go without saying.

But then, there’s that last little bit.

bring those responsible to justice.

Those. Plural.
