Casting Call For Next Spider-Man Movie Has A Sort Of Spoiler In It

I warned you about spoilers in the headline. Don’t read on if you’re only going to complain.

Of the four Spider-Man feature films released in the last ten years or so, three of them have featured funerals.

At the end of the first, Harry Osborn swears revenge at the funeral of his father. In the third, it’s Harry himself being buried.

In this year’s Amazing Spider-Man, there’s a funeral scene for Captain Stacy.

And it doesn’t seem like the trend is going to end any time soon.

We’ve received casting calls for the next Spider-Man movie that are looking for mourners at a funeral, as well as the priest to conduct the ceremony.

Men & Women, 18-70 age range, to portray Friends & Family Mourning at a Funeral/ Wake. The scene is scheduled to film February 14th, 2013. This is very featured & I will be submitting photos to the Director.

Caucasian Man, 50s-60s age range, to portray a Priest at a Funeral. The scene is scheduled to film July 1st, 2013. This is very featured & I will be submitting photos to the Director.

Half of a funeral being shot in February, half in July? That’s the magic of the movies for you.

There’s no point speculating as to who will be dying just yet, but this info could still prove telling once other parts of the picture come into focus.

I will, however, give you good odds on there being a funeral in the Spider-Man film after this one too. It’s starting to look like a serious problem.
