Update: Django Unchained Now Locked, Screening In New York This Weekend

Consider this a follow up to a story last seen suspended in mid-air. But I couldn’t just leave it like that.

So. Two days back, word was that Quentin Tarantino was reworking Django Unchained right down the wire. Now, he’s apparently reached that wire.

According to Showbix 411, the film has been picture locked with final sound mixing being finished today. They say the film will be screened this weekend in New York, apparently to critics looking to draw up their Gong lists – an important part of the film marketing circus.

If it is the case that Django has undergone some shrinkage in the last couple of weeks, we’re all about to find out.

Good to know it’s done, anyhow. Can’t wait to see it.
