A supremely splattery first trailer for the Evil Dead remake was screened at NYCC earlier today, and while we wait for it to arrive online and in our neighbourhood fleapits, we’ll have to make do with this single image. It’s Jane Levy, star of Suburgatory in plain old, demon possession purgatory.
It’s very Evil Dead, don’t you think? Not as handmade as the early deadite look, perhaps, but certainly not friendly.
Incidentally, there was footage in the trailer of Ms. Levy getting her legs perv-groped by vines. They seem to be “going there” but I expect there’s going to be a twist or two. This won’t be your Mom and Pop’s tree rape.
