Romantic Drama From Skins Creator Heading To Channel 4

Romantic Drama From Skins Creator Heading To Channel 4Jamie Wotton writes for Bleeding Cool.

Channel 4 have ordered a couple new dramas, one from Skins creator Bryan Elsley and another from The Hour writer Abi Morgan.

Borrowing a stylistic approach from his other long-running show, Elsley's drama Dates will focus each episode on a different character (or date, if you will), and between them cover the well-worn ground of modern relationships. Considering how many times I've almost had my head smashed in by a crazy mad-man with a spade after going on a date, I would say Elsley is exactly the man for this.

No, honestly, I'm genuinely excited. Skins, at times, was the best that UK drama had to offer.

Digital Spy reports Home Before Dark, Abi Morgan's new thriller is about a hunt for a killer across Europe and America, which sounds well and good until you hear it's also about The Dark Side of the Internet. The Hour was fine and dandy, so we'll see how this one works out.
