Fantastic Trailer For Toys In The Attic – Like Toy Story But With Stop-Motion And Live Action Not CG

I often wondered what a stop-motion Transformers film would look like, with all of the transformations handled semi-plausibly with visibly moving mechanics. Better still, how about a stop-motion Toy Story that brings actual toys to life?

Indeed, there was a Toy Story ad that stop-motioned some toys, but it was fairly limited stuff with no facial animation. It certainly wasn’t anything as well mounted as Jiří Barta’s Toys In The Attic, as you’ll see from this trailer.

Cartoon Brew say that a dubbed version of this will roll out across “top markets” in the US and Canada come September.

Hopefully the subtitled version will come on the Blu-ray – there’s really no reason for it not to. Or, seeing as the Czech release was way back in 2010, perhaps I’ll be able to find an English friendly version of that somewhere…
