Actually, that’s one of my favourite gags in the film.

I saw Item 47 at a preview screening on Friday night. It was pretty good. The original pitch of “Bonnie and Clyde in the Marvel Movieverse” only gets us through the first couple of minutes because then there’s a twist. And then another. And it ends up being something else.

I liked the final shot a lot, though. Perhaps its because I’ve always found SHIELD to be a bit icky, and I like it when they’re spoofed, undermined or flat-out criticised.

Item 47 is to be included on the Avengers Blu-ray come September.
