Bobcat Goldthwait Coming To The UK With His Extraordinary God Bless America

While God Bless America has been made available via VOD in the US, we’re still drawing in on the film’s UK cinema release. But it’s great that we’ll get a fair chance to see this thing on the big screen, where it will work wonderfully. Good for us, then. “More like Rule Britannia than God Bless America”, etc. etc. etc.

Here’s the UK trailer for the film.

That “best day ever” will be July 4th, when the film opens here. There’s also a “London Premiere” event at the Prince Charles Cinema that night with Bobcat attending for a Q&A. If you heard his recent podcast Q&A session with Jeff Goldmsith I’d wager you’ve already clicked over to buy tickets.

And then the film will then hit DVD here in the UK on the 9th. The US DVD and Blu-ray release is set for July 3rd.

I saw the film when it premiered on VOD. It’s as abrasive and thrusting as the trailer makes it look, but it’s also sly, smart and sweet wherever necessary. It’s definitely a black comedy at heart, though. A black black black comedy.
