Sullivan’s Sluggers Asked For $6000 On Kickstarter – Raised Almost $100,000

It was the graphic novel that could.

Originally solicited for Image Comics, Mark Andrew Smith and James Stokoe decided to make Sullivan’s Sluggers, a horror baseball comic, a Kickstarter exclusively sold and distriubuted graphic novel, and to get $6000 in funding to finish the book off.

They got a lot more than that.

As a result of the extra funding, the 200 page book has been ungraded to a oversized hardcover in a slipcase, with a gatefold as seen above, all for the original $30 donation, as well as raising money for the HERO Initiative and for Womanthology‘s Renae De Liz along the way, with over 3000 copies to be printed and sold in this fashion.

I look forward to recieving my copy.

So… who’s next?
