Short Film: Sunday, From Nacho Vigalondo, Director Of Timecrimes, Extraterrestrial And Supercrooks

Nacho Vigalondo‘s Extraterrestrial is released today in the US, at selected cinemas and via VOD and iTunes. With no UK release so far on my radar, I think I’ll be logging into my US iTunes account later on.

To promote the film, Focus Features have made Vigalondo’s short film Sunday available online. It also has some space alien tropes, and a similar looking UFO, not to mention a romantic couple at the heart of the story. In other respects, it seems really very different. The camera moves a whole lot less for one thing.

Vigalondo is currently working with Mark Millar on the Supercrooks comic and, hopefully soon, the big screen version of same. His previous film, Timecrimes, is a a real corker too. Can’t get enough of those nutty, knotty time loops.
