No Rob Liefeld Title Cancelled For The Third Wave – Will Captain Atom, Blue Beetle Or Voodoo Bite The Dust?

We've been keeping up with updates over DC's confirmation of our story from April that all their books in September would be zero issues, with news that it is James Tynion who is writing Talon, for example with Guillem March on art. But this probably deserves a post of its own.

As well as the new announced books, DC's insistence on keeping to 52 monthly titles means that, along with Justice League International, another three books might be dropped. And some wondered if they might be the three newly Liefeldised comic books Hawkman, Deathstroke and Grifter.

It's not.

Rob Liefeld has just tweeted;

Hawkman #0, Deathstroke #0 and Grifter #0 on the way in September! DC ZEROmonth has great revelations for all our titles!#keepmomentumgoin

And not only that but;

Did I forget to mention I wrote Hawk and Dove #0 as well? Featured in DCUniverse #0!! September is going to be full of new twists and turns!

So it's not looking good for Captain Atom, Blue Beetle or Voodoo, the three DC books that sell below Grifter levels… Captain Atom already dodged the excecutioner's axe when Hawk & Dove was cancelled instead, can it do it twice?

IGN states that for September there will be more than 52 titles. But how many more? Will #0 be the death knell for some? Captain Atom has seen the character twisting round in time to his birth, will the snake eat its own tail?

UPDATE: Go on, let's have a look at the cover for Batman Incorporated #0.
