Images From The Dark Knight Returns Preview Are More Interesting Than What Came Before

I was rather underwhelmed by the first wave of preview images from The Dark Knight Returns: Part One, an animated adaptation of (part of) Frank Miller and Klaus Janson‘s seminal comics.

There’s a full thirteen minute preview of the film included on the upcoming Superman Vs. The Elite disc, and Idle Hands pulled a few screen captures. While it’s not clear if all of these are images actually from the film or just from contextual material in the preview, these pictures are certainly more interesting than what came before.

Largely because I dont quite know why they look the way they do.

Okay, those can’t really all be from the film. Some look like storyboards, others look like samples of design, scans of the comic and so on. I daren’t imagine the film is going to feature elements like that.

Sit tight because an online video preview of the film can’t be that far away now.
