The Furry Trap is a new graphic novel solicited by Fantagraphics. Sounds like silly funny creatures ideally suited for a children's book. Ket's see what the solicitations reads like;

The Furry Trap is a harrowing and genre-bending collection of 11 modern horror short stories that could curl the toes of a corpse. Simmons' stories work on multiple levels: straight horror, black humor, genre satire and assaults against the political correctness of much of our popular culture. His artwork excels in conveying a feeling of dread and claustrophobia, and the stories herein all share an unmistakable and uncompromising commitment to exploring the crossroads of abomination and hilarity.

Not. Shame then that it was solicited as an All Ages title. When, in fact, it is, according to Fantagraphics, "an adult title due to extreme violence and/or sexual content in many of its stories."

Oops. Not one for the kiddiwinks after all…
