I think I called this spoiler accurately when I was speaking to Mark Andrews, the co-director of Pixar’s Brave, so it wasn’t exactly a surprise to me.
And I expect a good handful of you will have been able to pre-emptly figure it out too.
But it was never as explicit, I suppose, as in the name for track fourteen of the film’s soundtrack. Of course, every bit of the listing seems to be alluding to something so you might not want to read any of this.

It may turn out that the performer’s credit on track 10 gives something away too, but we’ll have to see about that.
Having seen a good chunk of Brave, I can vouch for how good it sounds, as well as looks. The first Julie Fowlis song, in particular, was put to good use, creating that kind of everywhen, Scots folklore mashup vibe, a fantasy history that suits the storytelling well.
Not long now until the film premieres. The US release is set for June 22nd, and in the UK we’ll be seeing the film on August 17th. Stay tuned for much more.
