Watch The Opening Scenes Of The Dictator

The first few scenes of The Dictator premiered on The Daily Mail this morning, which is a bit of a headscratcher in and of itself. Their version starts with some annoying pre-roll advertising then an address to camera by Sacha Baron Cohen, in character.

So, instead, here’s the non-Daily Mail version that just gets into the scenes from the film – though I have transcribed his short intro below if you’d like to read it.

I don’t know about you, but I thought that looked really rather Aladeen.

And here’s the important part of his intro:

I would like to congratulate your dictatoress Elizabeth on her blood diamond jubilee and I hope it is a smooth transition when her son Charles eventually kills her and seizes power.

The film will be in UK and US cinemas from May 16th.
