BeforeWatch: Today, at the annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at 1pm,  Jim Lee and Dan DiDio will be talking and showing off Before Watchmen. But will the LA Times' Geoff Boucher ask them about Chris Roberson?

DriverWatch: Shia LaBeouf, continuing his attempt to enshrine his reputation as a comic book creator, is offering his expired drivers license as a Kickstarter reward to the people fundraising for the Coast City Comics in Portland, Maine.

FriendWatch: Robert Kirkman talks about working for the man. When the man is Tom Brevoort.

Tom Brevoort and Axel Alonso are awesome dudes to work for. I did enjoy my time there. But I knew Tom wasn't my friend. We'd talk on the phone for hours at a time, but I knew we weren't actually friends, he had to keep me at a professional distance because at some point in the future, I wouldn't be popular, and he wouldn't be able to hire me anymore. Because that's how it worked. That's a horrible position for Tom to be in, but it's not his fault. No matter how much he may like a creator, he can't make a corporation spend money on them if they're not getting money back in return. That's not a safe system and it's not something anyone should allow themselves to get trapped in.

GundamWatch: Richie Branson who gave us hip hop based on Gundam Wing now tackles Cowboy Bebop.

Saturday Runaround – Bananas, Brevoort And BransonThis is Computo the Comic Link Conqueror speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.

They say I am a work in progress. The fools.

J.M. DeMatteis's CREATION POINT: MAN WITHOUT FEAR

Well, it turned out that Carlo was also working with Chris and his partners—helping them to develop Marvel Comics' blind superhero, Daredevil, into a feature film.  The movie had been through a number of drafts and the creative team was looking for a new take.  Short story even shorter:  Carlo wanted me involved and, since I was already working for 1492, Chris and Company were happy to bring me on board.

FragaBoom!

In 2007 I was fortunate enough to do some boards for Hershey's. The campaigns we so successful and the relationship I have with the product made for a lot of work over the past 5 years. Since 2007, I've been fortunate to be involved with almost every single Hershey's commercial.

Marvel's recruitment of Joss Whedon shows that TV is where the talent is | Culture | The Guardian

The suits at Marvel Comics, in hiring small-screen golden boy Joss Whedon to helm their tentpole full-dress, multi-superhero, mega-budget Marvel Avengers Assemble, seem to be fully in agreement with the banner headline on this month's edition of Vanity Fair: "Admit It … You Love TV More Than Movies"
