Now playing in cinemas across the UK, Marley is Kevin MacDonald‘s documentary profile of the Jamaican singer songwriter. Once upon a time Martin Scorsese was in charge of the film, then Jonathan Demme, but it was MacDonald who got it across the finish line.

Bob Marley is an interesting subject, and no mistake. This clip will give you some idea of how the film has been structured with archive material as well as talking heads and lots of music.

Love the “100%” bit. Seems that the same football commentary cliches roll out in Jamaica as on Sky Sports News.

I believe the film is also on limited release in the US, as well as being available Stateside via VOD.
