Is This What The Ninja Turtles Look Like Now? And Is Kid Cudi Going To Play One Of Them?

I have no real idea about Kid Cudi. I’ve heard of him, I have some idea of what he looks like, and I know that he’s a hip hop artist with some acting experience.

But it ends there. Still, I don’t need to know any more to understand his recent tweets.

Here’s a picture that Cudi, or Scott Mescudi to his mother, shared via Tumblr (via Huff Post).

And here’s what he posted alongside the picture:

An original one of a kind sketch of a unknown Ninja Turtle by one half of the creators, Kevin Eastman. A gift given to me by my homies Andrew Form and Brad Fuller over at Platinum Dunes. Hint hint mane

Hint hint?

So Cudi has been meeting with Platinum Dunes and Kevin Eastman, and he’s dropping us hints? Sounds pretty compelling to me.

Cudi’s onside with the Ninja Turtles reboot too, tweeting:

Personally, I’m not going to be surprised when we read in the trades that Cudi has joined the Turtle line-up.

As we understand it, the characters are going to be created with motion capture, though a few practical effects “might” come in to play. That suggests a long post production period, so the film will have to cast-up soon to make it’s Christmas 2013 release date. Stay tuned for more.
