James Cameron’s Robogeddon Sounds A Lot Like Robot Wars

Not to be confused with Robopocalypse, the upcoming Steven Spielberg and Drew Goddard movie, James Cameron’s Robogoeddon probably is to be confused, and easily, with Battlebots and Robot Wars.

I mean, on current information, it’s exactly the same show. Whatever twist there is, we don’t know about it yet.

According to The Wrap, Discovery revealed Robogeddon at their up-fronts this week. It’s not on the press release from the network, so I guess a big announcement is set for somewhere further down the line.

The show, co-produced by Cameron and Survivor creator Mark Burnett, is apparently set to feature robots fighting one another, in a style similar to those other shows. It even features contributions from Donald Hudson, a BattleBots champ. Here he is, at the Discovery up-fronts, with some sort of robot… erm… warrior?

I think you’ll agree, we’re a long way away from Skynet here.
