Now You Can Watch The Total Recall Trailer With A Director’s Commentary
Director Len Wiseman has recorded a pretty much scene-by-scene audio commentary for the Total Recall trailer. Curiously, he leaves a few blank patches even though there’s only two minutes and twenty five seconds to fill – but that may be a result of MTV’s edit.
So Wiseman says he wanted to give a sense of how “strong” the female characters are, but doesn’t have any insight into how he was attempting to do this. It’s almost like he just felt he had to pay lip service to the concept of @strong women”, or that he doesn’t actually have any grasp on what he might mean by the concept.
Anyway, there you go. He had nothing much to say. Certainly nothing that added any depth to the trailer.
Doesn’t exact fill me with confidence for his film, I have to say, but we’ll see. Maybe he was unprepared and caught off guard.
