Sample The Dark Shadows Soundtrack, Get Hints At Scenes And Plot Beats From Track Listing

It’s typical that a movie’s soundtrack will give away some little bits and pieces of storyline through the titles of the various cues. Infamously, one of the Star Wars prequels had a big point spoiled first of all by the back of the official soundtrack.

The track listing for Danny Elfman’s Dark Shadows OST spoils nothing so drastic, but it still hints at some of the misadventure to come.

  • Dark Shadows – Prologue (Uncut)
  • Resurrection
  • Vicky Enters Collinswood
  • Deadly Handshake
  • Shadows – Reprise
  • Is It Her?
  • Barnabus Comes Home
  • Vicky’s Nightmare
  • Hypno Music
  • Killing Dr. Hoffman
  • Dumping the Body
  • Roger Departs
  • Burn Baby Burn / In-Tombed
  • Lava Lamp
  • The Angry Mob
  • House of Blood
  • Final Confrontation
  • Widow’s Hill – Finale
  • The End? (Uncut)
  • More The End?
  • We Will End You!

And should you wish to listen to these tracks, Warner Bros. imprint Water Tower music have set up a sample page. I’m not surprised how spooky it sounds even though the trailers have been playing up the larks and laffs – ever since Animal House the best comedy soundtracks have played to the drama.
