Airbender Sequel The Legend Of Korra Gets An Airdate And New Trailer

I’d been assuming that The Legend of Korra, Nickelodeon’s sequel to The Last Airbender would be coming in the Summer, or perhaps in the Autumn. That’s what “coming soon” typically means (well, in the Winter or Spring anyway). But no: it’s going to start screening on Saturday April 14th, exactly one month from today. You can tune in at 11am ET/PT.

That was announced at Nickelodeon’s upfront just a little while back, and then fed on via the official Korra Nation Tumblr feed, who also released the title treatment at the head of the post.

And here’s a new trailer that was released at the upfront too.

The US TV animation scene seems healthier than it has been in years. I shall prove this with my next two posts.
