The Brazilian Military Police Recruit Batman. Seriously.

I don't know if they used a Bat Signal or not.

But Brazilian military police in Taubaté have invited retired soldier André Luiz Pinheiro, aged 50, known for dressing as Batman, to help pacify city neighbourhoods suffering high crime levels.

What exactly Batman Taubaté will do, will be decided at a meeting tomorrow between Pinheiro and Major Eliane Nikoluk Scachetti, commander of the 5th BPMI (Military Police Battalion of the Interior). His focus will be murder and drug dealing in the suburbs, specifically that of the Esplanade St. Therese neighbourhood with a  reputation of being especially violent. The residents approve of his impending arrival.

No news if he'll be getting a Brazilian military Batmobile.
