It seems to be the year for alien mysteries. Who are the aliens in The Avengers? Are the Aliens in Prometheus? It’s been a lot of fun speculating on these matters over the past few months, and every new tidbit scrounged up from the far corners of the internet spurs a new round of debate. With The Avengers out in May, and Prometheus out in June, we should know the answer to both mysteries soon. After that, we’ll need another alien to step into the gap — and I have a strong hunch we haven’t heard the last of the rumors about the Mad Titan…

I’m failing to think of a single upcoming Blu-ray release better suited to conspicuous coffee table placement than his version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It’s the kind of film that sells absolutely colossal numbers of posters.

The second day of Image Comics Expo featured the Image Founders panel, celebrating 20 years of Image Comics. Rob Liefeld, Jim Valentino, Marc Silvestri, Todd McFarlane, Robert Kirkman and Erik Larsen spoke about the history of Image Comics. Larsen was late to the panel, which seemed somewhat appropriate that a celebration of Image history would involve tardiness in some form or another. Kirkman questioned the reasoning behind having him attend a panel about the formation of Image, given that he was 14 when it all started. McFarlane confirmed that there would be no surprise last minute appearance by Jim “DC” Lee.
