Watch: Bret McKenzie Stars In Screwball Manslaughter Comedy, Two Little Boys

Close personal friend of Kermit the Frog and the Rivendell Elves, Bret McKenzie is probably best known in the US and UK for being half of Flight of the Conchords.

As you might guess from the title, his new film Two Little Boys puts him in another buddy pairing, this time with Australian comedian Hamish Blake.

Hopscotch Films have released this trailer for the film without any kind of red band warning, so I assume it isn’t what most would consider to be “not safe for work.” There are a couple of moments where I wondered, though.

But let’s go with Hopscotch’s arbitration on this one. If you’re at work now, call your boss in to watch this with you, then let me know if you get fired or not.

Two Little Boys was directed by Robert Sarkies, and written by his brother Duncan, adapting his own novel. Duncan, incidentally, has prior links to the Conchords, having written the episode New Fans.

I’m sure that McKenzie’s name will be enough to get this some kind of distribution in the UK and US. I look forward to seeing it.

And talking of names, here’s an odd bit of triv: Blake’s middle name is Donald. A Thor fan in the family, do you suppose?
