Steven Soderbergh Replacing Man From UNCLE With Psychopharm Thriller The Bitter Pill

Having walked away from The Man From UNCLE and the mother of all casting headaches, Steven Soderbergh set about finding a new project for the new year, something to slot in between now and the Liberace bio, Behind The Candelabra.

And he’s found it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Soderbergh has settled on The Bitter Pill, “a thriller set in the world of psychopharmacology.”

The script will be written by Scott Z. Burns, Soderbergh’s collaborator on Contagion and The Informant! and a man who can turn these “set in the world of”, research heavy dramas into really strong drama.

Nothing else has been made public at the moment, and Soderbergh is still pitching to studios. Several bids have already come in, apparently, so it shouldn’t be long until this project starts getting good and firm.

Now please excuse me while I Spotify The Jam.
