Now Image Comics Has Their Own Comic Con Just Down The Road

You can see the thinking, sat at the Image Comics booth at a variety of comic conventions across North America… all that travelling, all that fuss, all that money – and then you have to share attention with Marvel, DC, Twilight, Robert Downey Jr… what would it be like to have all that attention for yourself?

The Image Expo is a comic book convention specialising in creator owned comics, and specifically those of Image Comics, being held in late February at the Oakland Convention Center, California on the last three-day-weekend in February, just down the Grove Shaftner Freeway from their Berkeley headquarters.

With current Image partners Robert Kirkman, Erik Larsen, Todd McFarlane, Marc Silvestri and Jim Valentino, with other Image creators Rob Liefeld, Whilce Portacio, Joe Casey, Jay Faerber, Jonathan Hickman, Ryan Ottley, Richard Starkings, Fiona Staples, and Brian K. Vaughan… and who else is coming? Well, let's find out.

They are inviting exhibitor or artist alley attendance now, asking interested parties to get in touch.

The show is being run by Jimmy Jay, whose Jay Company runs the Amazing Arizona Comic Con in January, and is nuts deep into the business of selling Rob Liefeld variant covers…
