Okay NOW Marvel Cancels Their Only Solo Female Character Book. And Black Panther To Boot.

Yesterday, Bleeding Cool stated that Marvel had cancelled their only female solo lead book, X-23.

We were wrong, and had forgotten that Ghost Rider featured a solo female lead character.

Well today we have learned that Marvel have canceled Ghost Rider too.

As well as Black Panther: Man Without Fear, ending with issue #529, the numbering it inherited from the now-relaunched Daredevil.

And Villains For Hire has shrunk from a five issue to a four issue mini-series, the third issue shipping in February.

Then PunisherMAX also ends in February, with writer Jason Aaron stating that it is ending, rather than being cancelled.

A year ago, Marvel stated that they would be reducing the amount of books they published in 2011. I don't think this was exactly what they intended, however.
