Full Length Trailer For The Hunger Games

This full-length trailer for The Hunger Games looks grounded and real, airy and tangible, while at the same time seeming to take place in the same kind of sci-fi dystopia that made for some of the best cult films of the 60s and 70s.

The production design, costumes and hair seems to deliberately keep one foot in those old futures, and that’s an interesting move – and one that should prevent the film from dating, at least as an obvious artifact of 2011.

Watch that in HD at Apple. It’s worth seeing in the best quality, I think.

So far, I think this looks absolutely tremendous. But, then, I’m not a fan of the books – at least, I haven’t read them yet. Let’s see what the Mockingbirds (or whatever they’re called) think of this.
