Dragon Age Comics From Dark Horse, Now With Reduced Outrage

Dragon Age Comics From Dark Horse, Now With Reduced OutrageDragon Age has been famed as being a fantasy gaming series that embraces the diversity of human sexuality more than usual, featuring gay and bisexual characters.

So it was a surprise a couple of years ago when IDW published Dragon Age comics and recruited famed writer Orson Scott Card, also famed for rather stringent views on homosexuality.

The reaction from fans wasn't overwhelmingly positive and the comic was rather tainted by this in the minds of many.

There does seem however to have been a far more positive reaction to the news that Dark Horse Comics and Bioware are creating new digital comic books, overseen by Dragon Age game writer David Gaider, with Alexander Freed writing and Chad Hardi on art.

Now unless they suddenly announce Mel Gibson on lettering, I think they'll be fine.
