VIDEO: Geoff Johns Explains Rebirth On The Green Lantern DVD And Blu-Ray

“That’s not what Green Lantern is about.”

Included on the new Green Lantern DVD and Blu-ray, which is out in the US now and in the UK from Monday, are a series of supplements and special features detailing the character’s progress from the printed page to the CG-glossed screen.

Amongst these you’ll see Geoff Johns talking about his Rebirth comics series, and how it reset Lantern mythology to, broadly speaking, what we would later see in the movie.

We hope to bring you more on the Green Lantern Blu-ray soon. There’s an extended cut included and I’m curious to see what it adds to the film overall, as well as seeing how the film’s visuals translate onto the smaller screen.
