Tuesday Runaround – From August 31st To September 11th

Tuesday Runaround – From August 31st To September 11thSpellWatch: Panini continue to spell Siege incorrectly on their Marvel UK reprint covers. Maybe they're getting it mixed up with Heil? There has been an awful lot of Hitler about recently.

SundayWatch: This Sunday's comic strips will all be 9/11 themed. Expect a mix of morbidity and poignancy. Not too many laughs. Business as usual then.

In one of the simplest offerings, the dog Earl of the strip Mutts turns to his owner, Ozzie, and says simply, "Heal."

SignWatch: Scott Lobdell and Kyle Higgins will be appearing at Meltdown Comics in LA for their midnight opening toniight.

While Jim Lee and Geoff Johns will be at Midtown Comics in New York signing Flashpoint and Justice League comics from midnight tonight.

Whereas I will be tucked up snuggly in bed at midnight tonight.

MaskWatch: Death And Taxes asks if Anonymous needs to find a new mask, as Time Warner owns the Guy Fawkes mask from V For Vendetta that has proved so commonplace.

You know, while Warners may own that specific iteration of the mask, they don't own the rights to "a" Guy Fawkes mask – maybe it's time that Anonymous, or some bright non-corporate spark, designed their own Fawkes mask…

Tuesday Runaround – From August 31st To September 11thSalesWatch: Is this a new thing? Marvel put out promotional images quoting David Gabriel, their Senior VP of Sales.

So DC have to put out blog posts promoting the new 52 by John Rood, John Cunningham and Bob Wayne?

911Watch: A colouring book depicting the events of 9/11 and the War On Terror (including the fall of the twin towers and the assassination of Osama Bin Laden) is being sold as a "graphic colouring novel".

Truthers can draw on their own explosives on the World Trade Center if they wish.

EnnisWatch: Garth Ennis talks comics and commerce, from the very beginning, including his first published work.

"It was the kind of thing that was doing well at the time. I ought to be completely clear and say that, with hindsight, what Troubled Souls really represented was naked ambition. It was a direct attempt to get published. And that was the road that seemed most likely to lead me to success."

Tuesday Runaround – From August 31st To September 11thThis is Computo the Comic Link Conqueror speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.

They say I am a work in progress. The fools.

Grant Morrison Reinvents Superman, Can He Rescue DC Comics? | Fast Company

The exclusive page 18 panel shown above (below) is the first major shot of the Man of Steel transitioning to alter ego Clark Kent–sans his trademark horn-rimmed glasses–after thwarting trouble in Metropolis. Superman's fighting crime, of course, but the authorities are suspicious of his powers. He's misunderstood. He's different.
