The last of the three Dark Horse announcements was House of Night, a new Zoey Bird story from novelist P C Cast. These are tales about a fledgling vampire going to her special bloodsucker’s school, and therefore seem to straddle Twilight and Harry Potter with an amazingly simple, kick-yourself conceit.
Wish that I’d thought of it.
Here’s an image that Dark Horse unveiled to promote the show.
On the back, the following information:
In this series taking place between scenes from Betrayed (the second book in the wildly popular House of Night series, which has sold millions of copies internationally), Zoey is in desperate need of guidance as she prepares to take over the elite student group known as the Dark Daughters. Surrounded by her group of devoted friends, Zoey turns to The Fledgling Handbook, a historical vampyre tome, in hopes of better understanding this big, new world of vampyrism.
The story is by P C Cast, the script by Kent Dalian and the art is by Joelle Jones “and others.” Dark Horse have announced that the series will kick off in November.
